In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other event where a third party takes over full or partial control of our business, all Personal Data may be transferred to such third party. From the Personal Data we collect, we may extract aggregated and/or de-identified data, including by deleting information that allows the data to be uniquely linked to a specific user. For our legitimate business objectives, such as analyzing, developing, and improving the Services and promoting our business, we may use such aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data and share it with third parties; provided, however, that we will not release such data in a way that might identify you.

Tracking Tools, Advertising, and Opt-Out

The following sections provide additional information about how we collect your Personal Data.

Information Collected Automatically

Cookies and related technologies, together called "Cookies," are used by the Services to allow our servers to identify your web browser and gather information about your visitation and usage patterns. These technologies include pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, mobile IDs, and JavaScript. We use this information to operate and enhance our Services, identify trends, and learn more about and market to our user base. For example, we use Cookies to measure performance, store authentication status so that credentials don't need to be entered again, modify user experiences with the Services, track navigational patterns, and employ analytics and fraud protection to tailor the Services or customize advertisements. Cookies are text files or other little bits of data that are stored on your computer, tablet, phone, or other device when you use it to access our services. We might also add information from third parties, such as those who have set their own Cookies on your device(s), to the data we already have on you.

We use the following types of Cookies:

·         Essential Cookies. In order to give you the features or services you have requested, essential cookies are needed. For instance, you can log into our Services' secure sections with the use of certain Cookies. Certain features and services might not function if these Cookies are disabled.

·         Functional Cookies. Functional cookies help us remember your preferences over time, keep track of your choices and settings related to our services, and identify you when you visit us again. These cookies enable us to address you by name, customize our content for you, and keep track of your choices (such the language or location you prefer).

·         Performance/Analytical Cookies. Through the collection of data on the number of visitors to the Services, the pages they view, the length of time they spend viewing a page, mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity, and text entered into the Services, Performance/Analytical Cookies enable us to better understand how users interact with our offerings. In order to enhance our advertising campaigns and the content for users who interact with our advertisements, performance and analytical cookies also assist us in tracking the effectiveness of our campaigns. For instance, cookies are used by Google Inc. ("Google") in relation to its services for Google Analytics. The Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy govern how Google may use and disclose data about your visits to the Services that it collects. You have the option to opt-out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on page.

·         Retargeting/Advertising Cookies. Advertising and Retargeting Cookies gather information about your online activities and pinpoint your interests so we can show you relevant advertisements. Please refer to the "Information about Interest-Based Advertisements" section below for further details on this.

·         Web Beacons Web Beacons (e.g., clear GIFs or pixel tags) are little visual image files that are embedded in an email or webpage and may be used to gather data about how our services, the websites of particular advertisers, and our emails, newsletters, and special promotions are used. We are able to assess the number of users accessing the Services, opening emails, and using the web services of certain publications thanks to the data gathered by Web Beacons. Furthermore, it enables us to improve our interest-based advertising, which is covered in more detail below.

·         Mobile Device Identifiers Planet Doctor uses mobile device identifiers to get more data about the demographics and online habits of its users. Mobile device identifiers are files kept on mobile devices that can be used to track data and devices, as well as activities carried out on and through them and the installed apps. Mobile device identifiers make it possible to collect Personal Data, including address, location, media access control, and tracking information. This information can include, but is not limited to, IP address, domain server, type of device(s) used to access the services, web browser(s) used, webpage you referred from to access the services, additional statistics, and details about how your browser or device interacted with the services.

·         Cross Device Matching. In order to ascertain whether users have engaged with content on various devices and to associate those devices, we might collaborate with partners who examine device activity data and/or depend on your data (such as demographic, geographic, and interest-based information). To augment this study, we might additionally give these partners de-identified data. We may use this information to further evaluate how Services are used across devices or to show tailored adverts on devices we think are related.

You have the option to accept or reject cookies using the options on your web browser. Depending on your browser software, you can choose how each new cookie is accepted, but most browsers include an option to switch off the cookie feature, which will stop your browser from receiving new ones. Additionally, by turning on the relevant setting on your mobile device, you might be able to refuse mobile device identifiers. All cookies that are currently installed on your computer can also be removed. While accepting Planet Doctor's Cookies is completely optional, you might need to manually change certain options each time you use the Services if you block, reject, or remove them. This is because some features might not perform as intended.

Go to the "preferences" or "options" area of your browser's menu to see what Cookie settings you can change. Please click this link to learn more about cookies, including how to manage and remove them.

The "Do Not Track" feature in your browser lets you tell website, web application, and service operators that you don't want them to monitor specific aspects of your online activity over time and across various websites. There is presently no industry consensus over what constitutes a Do Not Track signal, and not all browsers offer a Do Not Track option. Please be aware that, similar to many website operators, we do not currently implement "Do Not Track" requests received from a browser due to these reasons and our usage of Cookies. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” you can visit here.

Information about Interest-Based Advertisements

Through the Services, we might offer advertisements as well as permit third-party ad networks, such as ad agencies, ad servers, ad technology providers, and research companies, to do the same. These ads, referred to as "interest-based ads," may be shown to individuals who exhibit particular behaviors or interests, or who fall into specific general profile categories. You may give us information for Interest-Based Ads (including Personal Data), or we may get it from your online behavior or from the usage habits of certain users on the Services and/or third-party services. IP address, mobile device ID, operating system, browser, webpage interactions, geographic location, and demographic data, such gender and age range, are a few examples of this kind of information. Tracking users' actions across time and on unaffiliated properties, including when they leave the Services, may be used to collect this kind of data. In order to achieve this, you may get Cookies—including Web Beacons—from an ad network via the Services from us or our service partners. Ad networks may offer anonymized, aggregated auditing, research, and reporting to us and our advertisers thanks to Web Beacons. Planet Doctor uses this data to better understand the demographics and online habits of our users. Additionally, web beacons allow ad networks to show you customized adverts when you visit other websites. Ad networks can read, modify, or store their own Cookies on your browser with Web Beacons, much like if you had requested a webpage from their website.

We adhere to the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising set forth by the Digital Advertising Alliance ("DAA"). A number of media and marketing associations have created an industry self-regulatory program through the DAA and Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") to provide users with more control and insight into customized ads across various websites and properties. Please visit the DAA's or NAI's User opt-out pages, which are located here, to make decisions about Interest-Based Ads from participating third parties, including to opt-out of receiving behaviorally targeted advertisements from participating organizations. Alternatively, install the DAA's App Choice app (available for iOS and Android) on your mobile device. An "opt-out" cookie will be installed on your computer, tablet, or mobile device when you utilize these opt-out options, signaling to the companies that NAI and DAA are members that you do not wish to receive Interest-Based Ads. You might have to re-opt-out if you erase Cookies from your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Please click this link to learn how to disable interest-based ads on mobile devices. To use these, opt-out options, you will have to choose which browser and device to use.

Please be aware that you can continue to view non-interest-based (i.e., non-targeted at you) Planet Doctor adverts even after you have opted out of interest-based ads. Furthermore, choosing to opt out does not prevent Planet Doctor from employing tracking technologies. Even if you have chosen not to receive interest-based advertising, Planet Doctor may nonetheless gather data about your usage of the Services and use that data to display advertisements to you.

Data Security

We care about the security of your personal information. Using the proper physical, technological, organizational, and administrative security measures, we aim to prevent unauthorized access, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data. These measures vary depending on the type of Personal Data we process. For instance, the Services enable the encryption of Personal Data through the use of industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. We use servers both domestically and internationally to store and handle your information. We keep up what we believe to be industry-standard archival and backup methods. Additionally, you should limit access to your computer, device, and browser; choose and safeguard your password and/or other sign-on procedures; and sign off from your account after using it. All of these actions will help protect your data. Please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the Internet or storing data is completely secure, despite our best efforts to safeguard the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, such as by storing Personal Data in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. We cannot and do not guarantee the total security of any data you share with us. Moreover, we disclaim all liability for any loss, theft, damage, or unintentional disclosure of your content or information, unless mandated by law.

We may attempt to notify you of any developments if, at any point during or after our relationship, we suspect that the security of your Personal Data may have been compromised. We shall make every effort to tell you as soon as practicable under the circumstances if a notification is necessary. We may send you an email to the most recent email address you have supplied us in your user profile, if we have that information. Please make sure your account's email address is current. That email address is something you may change at any time in your account profile. You can print any notice you receive from us so you have a copy. You must use email application software on your computer, mobile device, or other device to check your email account in order to receive these notices. You consent to our use of e-mail as a means of such notification. If you prefer for us to use the U.S. Postal Service to notify you in this situation, please e-mail us at postnotice@Planet Doctor.com. When submitting your request, please make sure to include your address. This choice is yours to make whenever you'd like, and it will take effect for any alerts we send out after a fair amount of time for us to handle your request. Additionally, you can use this email address to get a free print copy of the electronic notice we gave you about the compromise of your personal data.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as is required to deliver our services, run our business, or fulfill any other commercial reason for which we collected it. We take into account the source of the data, the reason for collection, the sensitivity of the data, and our need for the personal information when determining the length of time to retain it for a given category of data. Sometimes we need to keep Personal Data longer in order to fulfill our legal requirements, settle disputes or collect unpaid fees, deliver our services, or for other reasons allowed or mandated by relevant laws, rules, or regulations. In addition, we might keep information that does not directly identify you in an aggregated or anonymized form. For example:

  • • As long as you have an account with us, we save your login details and information.
  • • For as long as it takes us to make sure our systems are operating correctly, effectively, and efficiently, we keep your device/IP data.
  • • In accordance with our responsibilities under our Business Associate Agreements with Covered Entities and HIPAA, we preserve any protected health information (PHI).

Children’s Privacy

Children under the age of thirteen are not targeted by the Services and are not supposed to utilize them. Please do not attempt to register for, use, or send us any Personal Data if you are under the age of thirteen. You attest that you are older than 13 by using, accessing, and/or submitting information to or through the Services. We do not intentionally gather or request Personal Data from children under the age of 13, as stated in the Terms of Use. There are several situations in which you give us information directly. This primarily occurs when you register for an account on our platform and initiate direct communication. Furthermore, your interaction with us includes times when you correspond with us via email or make other first contact. Your direct contributions serve as a fundamental source of personal information.

When Using the Services, Automatic Collection of Personal Data: When you use our services, we automatically gather personal information. This includes information gathered by cookies, which improves our comprehension of your interactions. Additionally, if you download and install any of the particular software or apps we offer, your computer device may provide information to us. Providing pertinent services, such as updates or alert alerts, is made easier with the use of this data. We might also get information about your location and mobile device if you choose to use our mobile application or a browser that supports location sharing.

From Third Parties:

We gather data from other parties in addition to directly obtaining information from users. In order to help us analyze your interactions with the services and offer customer support, service providers are essential to this. These suppliers also aid in the development of user profiles and lead generation.

Our analytics partners work with us to provide information about website traffic and service usage, which helps us market and optimize our services more successfully.

Public or Government Records: We might use data from public sources or the government for onboarding and provider verification. This guarantees a thorough and precise comprehension of the licenses and certifications held by medical professionals connected to our platform.

Partners in Advertising: Among the service providers in our network are those with expertise in marketing and promotion. We receive useful data about your interactions with our services, ads, or emails from these advertising partners. Through this partnership, we are able to better customize our marketing efforts to match the tastes and habits of our users, which improves their overall experience.

How We Disclose Your Personal Data

Under some conditions, we might share your Personal Data with different kinds of service providers and other outside parties, each of which has a different purpose for doing business.

Service Providers:

Your willingly submitted payment card information is collected as part of our partnership with service providers, including payment processors like Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), in order to process payments. To get complete information on how Stripe uses and stores your Personal Data, it is imperative that you consult their terms of service and privacy policy.

Furthermore, security and fraud prevention specialists help with the identification and investigation of security incidents, defense against malevolent activity, and prosecution of individuals involved.

Providers of technology, communications, hosting, fulfillment, data storage, analytics, insurance verification, and staff augmentation work together to provide operational services (like web service analytics, billing, hosting, fulfillment, data storage, security, and insurance verification) and/or to make certain services and features available to our users. This includes services carried out on our behalf, such as account maintenance, customer service, order processing, payment verification, financing, advertising, marketing, and analytic services; and the short-term use of Personal Data that is not used by another party to create a User profile or otherwise alter your user experience outside of the current interaction. Their efforts also include internal research for technology advancement and initiatives to confirm or uphold the security and caliber of our services.

Selected Recipients:

Analytics partners are essential to our understanding of how users find and use the platform since they track user interactions with our services.

Ad networks are then called upon to customize and serve ads as well as audits pertaining to an ongoing interaction and ongoing transactions. These audits may include, but are not restricted to, calculating the number of ad impressions for each unique visitor, confirming the placement and caliber of ad impressions, and conducting an audit to ensure compliance with this specification and other standards.

In order to improve the security and accessibility of data for healthcare providers, entities like Health Information Exchanges and associated organizations are active in the collection and organization of user information. Their objective is to make health information more accessible, which will ultimately increase patient-centered care's effectiveness, safety, and quality.

Parties You Authorize, Access, or Authenticate:

Certain Personal Data is shared with third parties only when you give permission for them to do so through our services. This happens when you opt to access the platform through any service, and the information is disclosed in a way that explicitly satisfies the purpose for which you gave it to us. This procedure guarantees a smooth and safe integration of outside services that corresponds with the information-sharing goals you have in mind.

THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS APPLY TO ONLY TO USERS.

Legal Obligations

As stated under "Meeting Legal Requirements and Enforcing Legal Terms" in the above sections on "Our Commercial or Business Purposes for Collecting Personal Data," we may disclose any Personal Data that we collect to third parties in connection with any of the aforementioned activities.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other event where a third party takes over full or partial control of our business, all Personal Data may be transferred to such third party. We will try our best to let you know if any of these things happen so that your information isn't exposed to new privacy and security procedures and rules.

Data that is Not Personal Data
